British Sugar is delighted to continue its sponsorship of the Arable Farmer of the Year Award for the fifth year.

We are proud to support this category that recognises the excellence that exists in our industry. The continued ability of farmers to produce and deliver quality crops is essential for the British farming industry and to the wider Associated British Foods (ABF) group who have a huge stake in the success of arable farming in the UK.

Sugar beet is a cornerstone crop in many arable rotations and we work closely with the many thousands of farmers who grow and deliver sugar beet to one of our four factories or buy our co-products; Animal Feeds, LimeX and TopSoil.

British Sugars relationship with arable farmers is critically important to allow innovation for the future in areas such as bio-fuels and to support a profitable home-grown sugar beet sector.

We are delighted that the Farmers Weekly Awards in the past has seen many sugar beet growers involved as finalists and winners.
