British Sugar is delighted to sponsor the Arable Farmer of the Year Award that recognises the excellence that exists in our industry. The prosperity of the British farming industry is critical both to us and to the wider Associated British Foods (ABF) group who have a huge stake in the success of arable farming in the UK. Sugar beet is a cornerstone crop in many arable rotations. We work closely with the many thousands of farmers who either grow or deliver sugar beet to one of our four factories or buy our co-products; Animal Feeds, LimeX and TopSoil. British Sugar will continue to build our relationships with British arable farmers; to innovate for the future in areas such as bio-fuels and to support a profitable home-grown sugar beet sector.
